Who may wish to consult Dr Mona Tan?

It is Dr Tan's heartfelt wish that she can help every woman diagnosed with breast cancer to live longer & live more.  The women whom Dr Tan hopes to assist, and who may wish to schedule an appointment with her are:

1.  Women with a diagnosis of breast cancer, and wish to have 'less' surgery.  Dr Tan refers to this as 'de-escalation of surgery'.

2.  Women diagnosed with breast cancer, both early stage breast cancer as well as locally advanced breast cancer, and have been recommended to undergo either a mastectomy (with or without reconstruction) or breast conservation surgery (BCS) with complicated oncoplastic techniques & wish to do less cumbersome procedures.

Consultation Hours

Monday-Friday, By Appointment Only

Due to the specific conditions for which Dr Tan feels that women with breast cancer may benefit from her expertise, Dr Tan has elected just to see women with a diagnosis of breast cancer who have been recently (within the prior month) recommended to have a mastectomy (total breast removal).  Dr Tan is happy to review the clinical condition to see if breast conservation can be performed instead.

For additional assistance with an appointment, you may wish to contact: +65 6694 1704, and Dr Tan's staff members will be pleased to arrange the earliest available appointment for you.

Alternatively, for those who wish to explore the possibility of living longer & living more, you can let us know details about your condition by filling out the form and we will respond to your request(s) soon!

Please upload reports and results so Dr Tan can get back to you within 2 business days.

By clicking the submit button below you confirm that you’re interested in being connected with Just Medicine and agree to our Data Protection Policy.

Based on published statistics, more than half of all local women offered mastectomy will be eligible for breast conservation treatment. (BCT)  Should BCT be successful, a woman may have up to 70% better chance of surviving breast cancer than someone who had undergone a mastectomy.

To ensure that time with each patient is optimised, Dr Tan requests that her patients send their all results through email at:

justmedicinesg@gmail.com

and a staff member will contact the patient for an appointment. With the more stringent licensing requirements by the Ministry of Health, Singapore, Dr Tan does not qualify for teleconsultation and is unable to offer email consultations.  She requests that all patients, after submitting their reports, make an appointment for an in-person consultation.

In addition, due to complex operations which Dr Tan expects to assist patients with, she may have to make special arrangements with respect to insurance cover.

Dr Tan thanks patients for their understanding.

If you or your loved one have undergone the procedures listed above but have yet to make a decision for surgery, you may wish to contact Dr Tan’s clinic at: 6694 1704.  Please make all above requested information available through email at: JustMedicineSG@gmail.com.  For a detailed consultation, an appointment for a clinical evaluation in person may be made through email.  Kindly note that while in many instances, Dr Tan will be able to offer BCT when another surgeon has offered a mastectomy, there may be situations, in 15% of cases, that BCT would not be possible.  In addition, please note that Dr Tan limits her practice to only assisting women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer but have yet to undergo definitive surgery.  It is essential that all the information is provided through email prior to consultation, or a separate and later appointment date will have to be arranged.

Thank you for understanding.

Dr Tan hopes to walk this surgical journey, keeping abreast with you, for improved survival, living longer & living more.  Thank you!
